SBMAC EasySpeed

EasySpeed is designed to be a fun 'speed' event where entrants strive to improve on their initial 'target' speed by various tweeks in subsequent events.  It is open to any model but must uitilise an unmodified plain bearing diesel engine with max capacity of 1.5cc and only commercially available wooden , plastic or nylon propellers are allowed. The lines will be 13.5m ( Mini- Goodyear lines).with mandatory safety strap. The model will be handlaunched and timing will commence after the second completed lap and will be for 10 laps. Each event will normally allow 3 timed flights with the fastest one to count. At the first event the details of the model and motor will be taken and the best time will be set as the target speed to beat at subsequent events. Any increase will then become the new target speed. At the final event the highest percentage increase over the year will decide the winner.. If , for any reason, the model or motor is changed during the year the new combination will be recorded and a new target speed will be established. Proxy flying is permitted.
